Apostle Javer Stubbs Sr. met and married his high school sweetheart
in 1989 while he was stationed at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. they are the proud parents of four children: Jessica,
Ijason, Javer Jr, & Francesca Darnelle. Pastor Stubbs was saved in 1985 at Tabernacle of Prayer for All People, Inc. in
Jamaica, NY under the ministry of Apostle Johnnie Washington. The hand of God moved greatly upon Apostle Stubbs after he received
Christ and he began preaching the Gospel at 15 years old. He was a godly example to young as well as old. Upon his graduation
from Andrew Jackson High School, in Cambria Heights, NY, Pastor Stubbs enlisted in the U.S. Army and was stationed at Ft.
Dix, NJ. He would later marry his sweetheart upon his completion of AIT in Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. Apostle Stubbs
was thereafter stationed in Bad Kissingen, Germany where he joined and attended New Jerusalem COGIC under the leadership of
Pastor Larry C. and Mother Green. It was there that he saw what the real world of ministry was like and he began to work in
every area of ministry possible. Occassionally preaching and teaching and also travelling with the church to various locations.
Upon leaving Germany, He was stationed at Ft. Dix,NJ once again and it was there under the ministry of The Book of Acts Church/Pastor
Samuel Outlaw, that he learned the value of fasting and prayer and being dedicated to the things of God.After about 2 years
at the ministry, the Lord open doors for him to pastor his first church. He remained in Ft. Dix and pastored until 1992. Eventually,
he ended up in New Jersey again once he exited the US Army and planted a church in Trenton, NJ. God moved mightily in Trenton.
Saving souls and bringing deliverance to many. After 7 years of ministry in Trenton, Apostle Stubbs and his family moved to
Fayetteville, NC. Shortly thereafter, Sure Word of Deliverance was birthed in Spring Lake, NC. The ministry in Spring Lake
continues to grow in membership as well as with a New Christian School for grades 6-12 as well as an Adult Education Program
that is available to those who desire to receive their High School Diploma.
